The Goleta Coast is one of California’s safest cities with family-friendly neighborhoods. Goleta is the hub for many of Santa Barbara County’s largest employers. The average commute to work for people living in the greater Goleta area is less than 15 minutes, while we still see a high number of Goleta employees commuting over 30 minutes from the north and south.
A variety of housing options have come to market over the last few years. From apartments to single-family homes, the addition of The Hideaways, Hollister Village and Village at Los Carneros provides much needed housing for our local workforce. Both The Hideaways and Village at Los Carneros feature for sale properties, while Hollister Village offers luxury rental apartments that are a short walk to the nearby Hollister Village Plaza. Coming soon is Old Town Village in Old Town Goleta along with Cortona Apartments, centrally located near Goleta’s high tech business hub.
The cost of living in Goleta is similar to other Southern California coastal communities, with a median home price of $720,000. The median household income is $84,000. Despite a high cost of living, occupancy of apartments, condos and houses remains very high.
